This Sangean® DT-800 AM/FM/NOAA® Weather Alert Pocket Radio sounds a very loud audible tone when an extreme weather condition is imminent, a police emergency or child abduction has occurred, or any type of public awareness becomes critical. Sensitivity and selectivity of the pocket size radio is remarkable and comparable to many standalone AM/FM table-top radios. This advanced digital receiver provides drift-free AM/FM reception along with 45 preset (20 AM/20 FM/5 WX) selections that let you mix AM/FM stations with immediate access through the Page button. The Dynamic Bass Boost also adds to your stereo musical listening pleasure. Other features include a lock switch to prevent accidental setup changes, an adjustable auto shutoff, an auto station seek, and a removable belt clip. To conserve battery life, the DT-800 provides an option to select when you would like the NOAA® alerts to be active and the LCD backlight flashes to remind you that the alert is on. In addition to emergencies, the 7 NOAA channels provide up-to-date general weather information - useful if you're planning a trip or just a picnic for the weekend. The DT-800 also has a built-in battery charger allowing you to charge your batteries inside the radio. Batteries are not included.
