The Aqara® Door and Window Sensor P2 not only incorporates all the advanced automation and security features for which Aqara® is known, but also gives you the option to connect it directly to third-party Thread® border routers - such as smart speakers - and use all the benefits of the Matter™ smart home standard. Matter™ provides a more cohesive, unified smart home experience for users. It simplifies the process of setting up and managing devices and allows seamless interoperability across smart home devices and platforms. To add the P2 to a particular Matter™-enabled app, your device or devices will need to have both Matter™ controller and Thread® border router functionalities. It also requires the Aqara® Hub M3 in order to work with the Aqara® Home app.
